Baylor College of Medicine’s Transition Medicine Section is seeking an outpatient Internal Medicine physician to join the McNair and Pursuit Center clinics, delivering primary care to young adults and adults with Down syndrome and other IDDs while contributing to resident education and sections with opportunities in research, quality improvement, and leadership. Candidates should have an MD from a US medical school, completed Internal Medicine or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency, Texas Medical Board licensure, and board certification to practice in Texas. Expect patient centered care, EMR proficiency, timely documentation, and on call duties in a collaborative team. The section of Transition Medicine (TM) in the Department of Medicine is recruiting a certified Physician to join our expanding primary care team. The Transition Medicine Clinic provides high-quality medical care to young adults and adults with Down syndrome, Spina Bifida, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and other Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The candidate will provide outpatient services at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center McNair Campus and the Center for Pursuit. Duties will include direct patient care, participation in the education of trainees, and participating in section meetings/conferences. Opportunities for research, quality improvement, and leadership activities will be strongly supported.
