How you will make contributions that matter

We are seeking a Transport Lead to coordinate daily milk collection operations across our Inbound Logistics network. This role operates on a rotating 12-hour roster of 2 day shifts, 2 night shifts and 4 days off.


Reporting to the Regional Supervisor IBL, you will coordinate safe, efficient and reliable milk collection operations across the region, managing transport schedules, supporting compliance and fleet utilisation, resolving operational challenges and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily farm milk collections and interbranch tanker movements to ensure efficient and reliable service delivery.
  • Monitor transport operations in real time, resolving scheduling issues and responding to operational disruptions as they arise.
  • Allocate drivers and fleet resources, manage shift handovers and communicate key operational updates to drivers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility, Fatigue Management, Mass Management and transport regulations.
  • Maintain accurate transport data, operational records and reporting requirements across multiple systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve fleet utilisation, service performance and operational efficiencies across the region.

About you

  • You are a highly organised transport or logistics professional who enjoys solving problems, coordinating multiple priorities and working closely with stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Experience in transport scheduling, fleet coordination, logistics operations or a similar environment.
  • Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, Fatigue Management, Mass Management and transport compliance requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to make sound operational decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • High attention to detail and confidence working with operational systems, data and reporting.
  • Qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
