In this role, you'll:

 

Join our Customer Behaviour team, where you will play a key role in shaping how behavioural science influences travel across NSW. As a Travel Choices Behavioural Specialist, you will design and deliver evidence-based interventions that support people to make more smarter, sustainable and informed travel choices.

 

Working within our Travel Choices Program, you will analyse commuter and workforce trends to identify opportunities for behaviour change, and translate these insights into targeted campaigns, messaging and initiatives. Your work will directly contribute to improving how people move across the transport network.

 

You will:


•    Design and deliver behavioural science-led interventions, campaigns and initiatives that influence travel behaviour


•    Develop engaging messaging, collateral and resources that support commuters to retime, remode, reroute or reduce their journeys


•    Analyse commuter and workforce trends to identify behaviour change opportunities and inform program design


•    Create and deliver engagement activities that promote sustainable travel behaviours across workplaces and communities


•    Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and campaigns, using data to drive continuous improvement


•    Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to embed behavioural science into broader strategies and initiatives


•    Contribute to briefings, reports and strategic documents that communicate insights and outcomes to senior stakeholders.

 

 

This a permanent full time position, offering hybrid working options from our Elizabeth Street office.

About you

 

You are a behavioural science or behaviour change specialist who understands human behaviour and can identify the best approaches to influence and change people’s decision making about how they travel.

 

You bring experience applying a behavioural science lens to designing and delivering programs, communications and initiatives that drive measurable behaviour change in customer-facing environments.

 

You are confident using data and insights to understand trends, identify opportunities and shape targeted, effective solutions. You know how to translate analysis into practical solutions that suit the desired behaviours and targeted audience.

 

You hold relevant tertiary qualifications in behavioural science or bring equivalent experience delivering behaviour change initiatives in complex environments.

 

You are creative, curious and solutions-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within changing timeframes. You build strong relationships, communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, and work collaboratively to influence outcomes.

 

You take ownership of your work, think strategically about impact, and are motivated to continuously improve and apply best practice behavioural approaches.
