Job Summary:

 

Genesis Consulting is seeking an experienced Travel Trainer to deliver instructor-led training for a federal client to support the Concur Government Edition (CGE) travel system. The Travel Trainer will provide engaging, interactive instruction to Federal employees responsible for planning and managing official government travel while ensuring training materials remain current, compliant, and aligned with federal travel policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience delivering training for Federal government agencies, understands the unique requirements of working in secure government environments (including obtaining and maintaining a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credential), and is skilled at adapting training to meet the needs of diverse government customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Deliver instructor-led virtual and in-person training on the Concur Government Edition (CGE) travel system for travel planners, administrative officers, program support staff, and other Federal personnel.

· Serve as the classroom Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing accurate guidance on travel policies, Federal travel regulations, and CGE system functionality.

· Review, update, and enhance existing training materials using adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.

· Develop and revise lesson plans, participant guides, presentation materials, classroom exercises, and job aids.

· Collaborate with staff and Subject Matter Experts to review and incorporate feedback into course materials.

· Ensure all training content remains accurate, current, and aligned with client’s policies, Federal Travel Regulations (FTR), and CGE system updates.

· Produce and maintain Section 508-compliant electronic training materials.

· Facilitate engaging classroom discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises that improve learner comprehension and system proficiency.

· Deliver training using Microsoft Teams and other approved virtual learning technologies.

· Participate in quarterly program review meetings, training audits, and continuous improvement discussions.

· Recommend enhancements to course content, delivery methods, and learner engagement strategies based on participant feedback and evolving business needs.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

· 3+ years of experience delivering instructor-led training for a Federal government agency.

· Experience training Federal employees and contractors on travel systems, financial systems, ERP applications, or enterprise business processes.

· Experience supporting SAP Concur Government Edition (CGE), Concur Travel, ETS/E2 Solutions, or comparable Federal travel management systems.

· Demonstrated understanding of Federal travel policies and business processes.

· Experience working with government stakeholders and adapting training to meet mission-specific operational needs.

· Proven ability to navigate secure government environments while adhering to Federal security, privacy, and operational requirements.

· Experience developing instructor-led training materials using adult learning methodologies.

· Experience creating or maintaining Section 508-compliant training materials.

· Strong presentation, facilitation, and classroom management skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to effectively answer participant questions and serve as a trusted training resource.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and virtual learning technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience supporting Federal travel modernization initiatives.

· Experience working with Federal travel planners, administrative officers, executive assistants, or program support staff.

· Familiarity with the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) and government travel policies.

· Experience participating in curriculum development, instructional design, and continuous course improvement initiatives.

· Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Business, Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field.
