What You Can Expect

As a Utility-Scale Renewables Site Design Intern, you will have an opportunity to gain site design skills, exposure to current renewable energy policy, and understand wind, solar, and battery storage project development. You will work directly with ENGIE site design professionals to provide support for the growing portfolio of grid-scale projects in North America. You will support utility-scale designs using AutoCAD and other software. Additionally, you will learn how to support verifications of site design criteria and prepare design inputs and constraints.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You are a junior or senior working toward an undergraduate degree in civil, electrical, mechanical or other related engineering programs, or a graduate student with experience in a closely related field
  • You are proficient in AutoCAD
  • Direct experience in wind / solar site design
  • Experience in using Pvsyst, Sift, PVCase or other similar tools
  • Experience with MS Excel macros and VBA scripting
  • Experience with Python scripting skill
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to think analytically
  • Capable of presenting ideas professionally and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams

 

Additional Details

  • The duration of this internship will be from February 2026 – May 29, 2026
  • This role is eligible for our hybrid in-office work policy and is not eligible for remote work
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

 

Compensation

Hourly Range:  $23.50 – 27.50 USD hourly

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
