Your Mission
Working at SMG means taking ownership from day one. You will be working in our Automotive division, which consists of the platforms AutoScout24 & MotoScout24 and turn these platforms into even more impressive products.
As a UX researcher, you will be in charge of learning and understanding our users’ needs, behaviours and emotions. This will yield insights that inform the product strategy and guide the experiences we create for all our platforms. Your work will shape the perception of the car market in Switzerland and will have a direct impact on millions of people.

What you will do:

  • Research planning: collaboration with various stakeholders to define (strategic) research objectives.
  • Preparing, conducting and analysing qualitative and quantitative user studies to explore business models, features, concepts and designs together with our users
  • Effectively communicate insights and findings to represent and address user needs and insights during product development
  • Collaborate with different stakeholders from various areas, including product, design, marketing, data, and strategy, to (further) develop our products with a focus on user experience
  • Advocating for user needs, goals and problems as well as user-centred design throughout the organisation
  • Shape the product strategy and roadmap by conducting proactive research
     

Qualifications

Who you are

  • You know the ins and outs of user research, are interested in design thinking methods and understand user-centred design principles and UI best practices.
  • You have experience in conducting both quantitative and qualitative UX Research Studies. Experience in market research and/or Business Analysis is a plus.
  • You’re comfortable creating reports and giving presentations. You can communicate fluidly in both written and spoken English, which is our corporate language, and you speak at least one of French, German or Italian at a native-speaker level.
  • You know how to run statistical analyses and are comfortable with using a tool for statistical analysis like R (big plus) or SPSS.
  • A degree at university level in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, HCI/Computer Science, or other fields emphasising human behaviour would be an added value.
  • You know how to work independently and prioritise time between multiple projects, and you are flexible in adapting to changing schedules. Your proactivity always shines through in discussions about our ways of working, and you thus help us to bring our research team to the next level.
