UC’s Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine is recruiting for a part-time (50% FTE) Visiting Scholar. Faculty at the University of Cincinnati are expected to teach, conduct research, scholarly and other professional or creative activities.

 

Essential Functions

  • Conduct research visits according to current protocol.
  • Shadow faculty during their clinic hours, screen and enroll interested study subjects.
  • Participate in journal club, grand rounds and protocol staff meetings.
  • Mentor undergraduate students who are volunteering with the research project.

Required Education

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO)

 

Required Experience

  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching and research evidenced by peer reviews and publications. Candidates for a tenured appointment should demonstrate intellectual leadership and impact on the field and potential significant contributions to the department, University of Cincinnati, and wider scholarly community.

 

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.

Salary/Hourly Pay Rate Information:

 

Tuition Remission

As a part-time employee, UC provides a limited tuition remission benefit based on role.  Tuition remission covers tuition costs for nearly all undergraduate and graduate programs offered by the university.
