As the commercial Finance Analyst – Three Trading, you will be responsible for supporting the Finance Lead in delivering consumer IRO (Inflow, Retention, Outflow & Migrations) performance (Three). You will provide excellent insight and analytical detail, improving performance through sound recommendations and challenge.

You will be responsible for key reporting, including detailed and granular variance analysis, identifying MoM, YoY and versus forecast variances, highlighting risks and opportunities across IRO.

You will business partner the commercial teams with business casing, assisting where needed on financial modelling support, ensuring accuracy and validity of business casing models and integrity of data.

You will support the Finance Lead and the Commercial teams with forecasting & outlooking, supporting where required with comprehensive modelling and commercial support to ensure correct and robust forecasts are delivered.

This role requires a strong commercial mindset, excellent attention to detail, strong financial analysis and financial modelling skills.

  • Commercial Performance Analysis: Understand Three trading performance, analysing key drivers of IRO performance, identifying trends to support commercial decision making and monitoring KPIs such as; Inflow volumes and rates, Handset/SIM mixes, Pre to Post values (value of customer before and after an upgrade), Churn as a % of base, outflow rates etc
  • Trading Cadence Insights: Maintain packs used in weekly trading cadence as well as providing detailed commentary as required (outlook, month end) as well as maintaining month end slideware (scorecards) and supporting the Finance Lead with any insight needed ahead of key meetings such as Investment Forum
  • Performance and Variance analysis: Own and maintain detailed variance analysis for MoM, YoY and vs target for all aspects of IRO, breaking down into key volume and value drivers to identify areas for focus
  • Forecasting Support: Support the Finance Lead in maintaining forecast models across IRO, including data validation and highlighting inconsistencies
  • R&O Tracking: Maintain and update centralised R&O register by tracking inputs from commercial teams, quantifying impacts and ensuring changes are reflected in outlooks and forecasts
  • Weekly outlook preparation: Consolidate commercial inputs, ensuring that the latest calls are reflected
  • Business Casing: Collaborate with the commercial team to create value adding business cases, ensuring accuracy of calculations and integrity of data
  • Ad-hoc: Perform other related tasks and support projects as needed to support the evolving needs of the commercial finance team and wider VodafoneThree business. Support, as required, the Commercial Finance Lead – Trading Insights & Customer Profitability.

Qualifications

  • Qualified or part-qualified, current studier (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with strong financial analysis
  • Experience in variance analysis and understanding actual results versus forecasts/business cases
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong Reporting & PowerPoint Skills
  • Commercial Mindset to identify trends and provide "sound recommendations and challenge" to the Finance Lead & Commercial Teams.
