MOIA is seeking a VP Embedded Systems Engineer (all genders) in Munich for a hybrid role to own the embedded platform powering its SAE Level 4 autonomous fleet within the VW Group. You will lead cross-functional teams across software, hardware, testing and connectivity, ensure functional safety, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance, and manage budgets. The right candidate has proven automotive embedded systems leadership from concept to production, a strategic yet hands-on mindset, and a track record of platform scaling. We are looking for a visionary and execution-driven VP Embedded Systems Engineer to take end-to-end responsibility for the embedded systems powering our autonomous fleet. This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for architecture, integration, safety, validation, and release of the embedded platform across vehicle, backend, and mobility systems.
This is not a functional leadership role - it is full system ownership. You will shape the embedded foundation of MOIA’s autonomous mobility platform, influence long-term vehicle architectures, and ensure safe, scalable, and production-ready systems for the next generation of transportation.
