MOIA is seeking a VP Embedded Systems Engineer to own the end-end embedded platform for autonomous mobility, leading architecture, integration, safety, validation and release across vehicle and backend ecosystems. In this senior role you’ll steer cross-functional teams, manage large budgets and strategic resources, and align with VW Group partners while ensuring ISO 26262 functional safety, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has extensive leadership in automotive embedded systems for SAE Level 3/4, a proven production track record, and strong executive presence; fluent English, German a plus. To apply, highlight tangible outcomes from end-to-end ownership, demonstrate platform scaling, and provide authentic, anonymized responses focusing on skills and impact.
At MOIA, we are building the autonomous mobility ecosystem of tomorrow. As part of the Volkswagen Group’s long-term vision for Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) and Transport-as-a-Service (TaaS), we are developing scalable SAE Level 4 autonomous vehicle systems that will redefine urban transportation.
We are looking for a visionary and execution-driven VP Embedded Systems Engineer to take end-to-end responsibility for the embedded systems powering our autonomous fleet. This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for architecture, integration, safety, validation, and release of the embedded platform across vehicle, backend, and mobility systems.
This is not a functional leadership role - it is full system ownership. You will shape the embedded foundation of MOIA’s autonomous mobility platform, influence long-term vehicle architectures, and ensure safe, scalable, and production-ready systems for the next generation of transportation.
