Accor, the global hospitality group, is hiring for a full-time waiter or waitress role to be worked onsite in Dubai. This opportunity sits inside a bustling hotel F&B team, with a chance to grow within a brand that values individual personalities and purposeful work. The company is known for welcoming people as they are and helping them develop, with plenty of room to learn and advance across the world’s Accor properties. If you like guest-facing work, enjoy a hotel setting, and want a role that can adapt to different dining contexts, this could be a fit. For more about Accor and its opportunities, you can explore their careers site at Careers at Accor.

The Dubai role centers on delivering courteous, professional, and efficient service while staying flexible enough to rotate through various sub-departments within Food & Beverage or other hotel areas as needed. The position also requires taking on reasonable duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager and supervisor, and keeping opening and closing procedures up to standard. A strong candidate will know the menu inside out, be able to suggest food and beverage pairings, and look for opportunities to upsell while maintaining a high level of service in line with hotel procedures. Maintaining a clean, organized work area and handling guest inquiries with warmth are second nature, as is building rapport with guests to foster repeat visits.

Your daily service rhythm on the dining floor

In this role you’ll be on the floor delivering friendly, professional service at all times, guided by a set standard of performance. You’ll move across different F&B stations or other hotel departments as the needs of the property dictate, staying adaptable and ready to pitch in wherever required. Daily duties also involve following established service procedures at opening and closing, having a solid grasp of the menu, and confidently recommending appealing combinations to guests. The job calls for keeping the work area tidy and well organized, addressing guest questions promptly, and establishing a positive rapport with diners. It’s important to monitor supplies to minimize waste, report any guest complaints when there isn’t an immediate solution, and ensure follow-up with guests to restore satisfaction. You’ll assist with regular inventory tasks for operating equipment and come to work on time, wearing the correct uniform and name tag, while upholding a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene. The role also requires cooperating with colleagues from other departments, following hotel rules and safety guidelines, and being prepared to adapt to changes in department needs or redeployments to meet business demands. Training and meetings will be part of the calendar as required by the hotel.

Must-have ingredients for success on the dining floor

  • A formal hospitality qualification at diploma level or higher
  • A recent graduate or up to one year of experience in a four- or five-star hotel

There aren’t additional formal nice-to-haves listed beyond the basics, but the right candidate will bring a genuine hospitality mindset and a readiness to learn in a hotel setting.

What you’ll get in return

  • Access to an employee benefits card with discounted rates at Accor properties worldwide
  • Structured learning programs through Accor’s academies to support your development
  • Opportunities to grow your talent and build a career within the property and across the Accor portfolio
  • Chance to contribute to CSR initiatives such as Planet 21

Advice for applicants

Put your hospitality credential right at the top of your resume, then include a quick note about any hands-on guest service training you’ve completed.

In your application or interview, bring a concrete example that shows you’re comfortable rotating across different service areas or departments, and describe how you stayed flexible to meet guest needs.

Be ready to talk about how you know the menu inside and out, and share a real instance where you recommended a pairing or upsell that improved the guest experience or a sale margin.

Prepare a brief story about how you handled a guest inquiry or complaint, what action you took, and how you followed up to ensure satisfaction. Have a question ready about training opportunities or career paths within Accor to show you’re thinking long term.
