The Warehouse Stock Keeper is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, organizing and storing goods efficiently, and ensuring smooth flow of materials in and out of the warehouse. The role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and proficiency in using digital tools and inventory management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Monitor and record stock levels using digital inventory systems to ensure accuracy and availability.
  • Maintaining Inventory Levels: Reorder or request replenishment when stock reaches predefined thresholds.
  • Discrepancy Reporting: Identify and report any inventory discrepancies, damages, or losses promptly.
  • Storage of Inventory: Ensure all goods are stored properly and labeled according to company standards.
  • Organizing and Storing Goods: Maintain a clean, organized, and accessible warehouse layout.
  • Customer Service: Support internal and external customers by fulfilling orders and addressing inquiries professionally.
  • Trans-shipment Coordination: Assist in coordinating trans-shipment and trans-loading operations efficiently.
  • Merchandise Handling: Manage merchandise purchases, returns, and transfers as required.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Follow safety standards, ensure proper handling of materials, and maintain a safe work environment.
  • System Updates: Regularly update inventory records in warehouse management software or ERP systems.
  • Digital Reporting: Generate stock movement and inventory reports using Excel or system-based dashboards.
  • Barcode & Scanning Operations: Use barcode scanners and digital tools for tracking and verification.
  • Data Accuracy: Ensure real-time data entry and documentation for all stock movements.
  • Technology Utilization: Leverage computer and handheld devices for tracking shipments, stocktaking, and communication.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in warehouse or inventory management (fresh graduates with strong digital skills may apply).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, or inventory management software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to learn and use digital tools quickly.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
