Auterion is seeking a Senior Web Engineer for a full time onsite role in Zürich to lead a greenfield WebGL visualization project and partner with the Cloud team to deliver a high performance, scalable interface. You will implement complex 2D and 3D visuals with WebGL and Canvas, ensure 60fps performance under heavy data loads, profile and optimize frontend code, and translate requirements into features that manage layers, vector tiles and rich user interactions, while contributing to our existing Cloud/SaaS platform (Vue.js, Node.js, TypeScript). The ideal candidate has 5+ years of web development, deep WebGL/Canvas experience (Three.js, Deck.gl, PixiJS), and proven interactive maps and geospatial data skills. Nice to have: backend tech, Docker, AWS, PostGIS. For applying, tailor your portfolio to highlight high performance visuals, geospatial work, concrete outcomes, and cross team collaboration, with live demos or code samples.
We are looking for a Senior Web Engineer to play a key role in the development of a greenfield visualization project. You will work alongside the cloud development team to implement a new high-performance interface, ensuring the visualization layer is smooth, responsive, and scalable.
While your primary focus will be implementing complex graphics and mapping features, you will also be an active contributor to our existing Cloud/SaaS platform. This is a versatile role for a senior engineer who excels at frontend graphics but enjoys working within a broader full-stack ecosystem.
