QuinStreet is seeking a Web/UI Designer with comprehensive experience in web, digital, and user interface design to join our talented group of designers and copywriters in a contract position to help building a new platform and features for an exciting proprietary interface currently underway.

Our ideal candidate is creative, innovative, and passionately driven in problem-solving. This person can deliver up-to-date and engaging web interface designs across various platforms throughout the development, execution, and optimization phases. A Web/UI Designer at QuinStreet must have a broad background in the following areas: designing with a user-centric approach, digital communication, branding and style guides, and an understanding of information hierarchy and architecture. They must also be able to articulate ideas clearly, take direction, collaborate effectively with team members, and conduct themselves professionally.

Experience designing financial products is a strong plus. This role also prefers someone comfortable working in a startup-paced environment and experienced in AI-driven UI development.

Responsibilities

  • Take ideas and concepts and visualize them in a manner that is engaging and compelling for internal leaders, partners, and customers.
  • Support and develop wireframes and interface designs while collaborating with developers on an internal management tool/system, applying strong UX/UI expertise.
  • Create the visual language strategy (brand applications, visual design specifications, information design, color systems, typographic rules, grid systems, and other visual assets) for medium-sized, diverse projects that support brand strategy and user goals.
  • Help build new merchandise products and platforms, define and refine our design system, and stay current with the latest design, technology, and AI trends.
  • Apply strategic thinking to design and deliver innovative end-to-end user experiences that synthesize user needs, business goals, and technological realities across web and mobile platforms.
  • Collaborate effectively with researchers, product managers, developers, marketers, and other team members.
  • Manage timelines, deadlines, and communications through project management tools and team collaboration systems.
  • Use critical thinking, deductive reasoning, and data-driven decision-making to deliver end-to-end user experiences that align user needs, business initiatives, and client goals across digital mediums.
  • Stay current with cutting-edge trends, tools, AI advancements, and user experience best practices related to web, graphic, and user interface design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Web/Graphic Design or a related field of study.
  • 4+ years of professional Web Design/UI development experience.
  • A comprehensive portfolio that demonstrates your process and approach.
  • Expertise with design tools such as Figma (required), Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe XD (wireframing & prototyping), Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Confluence.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, understanding how design elements translate to code, and the ability to use prototyping tools to convey design intent.
  • Strong understanding of branding as it relates to user experience.
  • Ability to identify and apply interaction design patterns across multiple operating systems and devices.
  • Proven experience working within Agile workflows, remote collaboration environments, workload balancing, fast-paced settings, and tight deadlines.

The expected hourly range for this position is $40-60/hour USD. This hourly range is an estimate, and the actual hourly rate may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. The hourly rate may be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s standard employee benefits programs, which currently include health care benefits.
