Job Description

This is a hands-on workshop role focused on delivering high-quality welded components and finished products across custom and production runs. You’ll work closely with our design and production teams to bring furniture concepts to life.

Key responsibilities include:

  • MIG and TIG welding (AC & DC)

  • Manufacturing products from technical drawings and custom specs

  • Welding thin gauge materials (1.2mm – 3mm)

  • Plate and tube fabrication

  • General fabrication tasks including cutting, buffing, clean-up and painting

  • Collaborating with other contractors and trades for seamless project execution

  • Providing feedback to improve design and fabrication outcomes

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a strong eye for detail, pride in workmanship, and the ability to self-manage quality and deadlines.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • MIG and TIG welding proficiency

  • Extensive experience in sheet metal and tubular fabrication

  • Comfortable with plate gauge and thin gauge welding

  • Strong understanding of technical drawing packages

  • Ability to self-inspect and prepare work for finishes like polishing, sandblasting, powdercoating, galvanising, and chrome plating

  • Proactive and collaborative mindset with a focus on high-quality outcomes

Bonus Skills (Highly Regarded)

  • Experience in furniture fabrication

  • White Card for site work

  • Leadership experience or capability to oversee junior team members as workflow increases
