Hydro Extrusions is hiring a full-time onsite Welder in Portland, OR to support spline repairs and builds, keep splines and inventory stocked, maintain the shop and storage areas, and perform miscellaneous welding projects as needed, including prioritizing repairs on the Anodizing line. The role requires practical welding skills in TIG, MIG and ARC, the ability to read blueprints, basic math, and the ability to follow English instructions, plus strong teamwork. What you will be doing

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Removes, repairs and/or builds splines and rehangs them; working with spline repair employee when needed
  • Ensures splines and other inventory are ordered and kept stocked
  • Maintains and organizes shop and storage area
  • Performs miscellaneous welding projects as requested
  • Analyzes, reviews and prioritizes urgency of needed repairs on the Anodizing line

What will make you successful?

  • Must be able to understand and deliver basic commands in English
  • Must have basic math skills, use a calculator  and read a tape measure
  • Must be able to work cohesively in a team environment
  • Trained and knowledge of welding:  Tig, Mig and Arc
  • Must be able to read blueprints
