WM New Zealand is seeking a hands-on Welder and Bin Maintainer based at the East Tamaki workshop in Auckland to perform in-house preventative maintenance and repairs on bins and equipment, with potential fleet maintenance as you gain experience. This fast paced role requires MIG welding and fabrication skills, tool use, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to requisition parts within budget while keeping paperwork organized; AS/NZS 2980 qualification is preferred but not essential. You’ll join a supportive yard team on 45 hours a week, 6:00 am to 3:30 pm with overtime available; benefits include training and career development. We are looking for someone with experience in MIG welding and fabrication and has used a range of engineering hand and power tools. If you hold the qualification in Welding to AS/NZS 2980 that would be a strong advantage but not essential.
