Civmec is seeking experienced Special Class Welders to join major WA projects with DIDO and FIFO rosters; visa sponsorship is available for the right candidates. Immediate start, full time roles with penalties, tools and attendance allowances, substantial overtime, weekly pay and free onsite parking. You will interpret drawings, pass weld qualifications, weld in all positions and perform 6g TIG welding to procedures, managing consumables and heat to minimise distortion. Ideal candidates hold a recognised welding certificate, have 3+ years of relevant experience and can pass a weld test; VETASSESS is required for international applicants; crane competency is a bonus. The Role

  • Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards.
  • Undertake and pass all necessary weld qualifications in required weld processes
  • Perform the welding of steel components in all positions
  • Maintain all correct consumables, feeds, amperages and pre heat in accordance with applicable weld procedures
  • Perform  6g TIG welding techniques
  • Weld steel structures in sequence to eliminate shrinkage and distortion of steel components

About You

  • Recognised Welding Certificate
  • Previous records of passed welder qualifications (preferred but not essential)
  • Ability to pass appropriate Weld Test
  • Minimum 3 years with similar welding processes, specifications and standards
  • Gantry Crane competency - desirable
  • VETASSESS skills assessment completed (required for international/visa‑sponsored candidates)
