A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Wireless Engineering Specialist reporting to Senior Manager FW Specialist, Data and Analytics

A bit about your role

The Wireless Engineering Specialist sits within the Wireless Specialist team and plays a critical role in advancing network capacity, performance, and optimisation capabilities.

This role is responsible for developing and enhancing end-to-end capacity and performance processes, performing deep technical network analysis, and establishing scalable frameworks that enable consistent, data-driven optimisation across the network. Leveraging strong wireless engineering expertise, the role extracts actionable insights from network counters, KPIs, and large datasets, while also driving the development of tools to improve operational efficiency and decision-making.

In addition, the team plays a strategic role in the design, creation, and ongoing evolution of visualisation dashboards for both internal and external stakeholders. These dashboards are continuously adapted in an agile manner to support senior leadership team (SLT) initiatives, operational reviews, and network performance escalations.

A bit about you

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong combination of technical depth, analytical capability, and practical industry experience. Strong ability to manage end‑to‑end network data pipelines and lifecycles — including collection, structuring, analysis, and visualisation of large, complex datasets. You will have proven experience extracting actionable insights from network KPIs, counters, and performance data to drive optimisation and capacity outcomes.

Proficiency in data tools and programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python etc) to enable scalable analysis, automation, and reporting, familiarity with Linux-based environments and exposure to web-based technologies will be preferred although not essential.

Having experience working with OSS platforms, enterprise big data platform and engines (e.g. distributed databases and analytics frameworks), and BI tools (e.g. Tableau) to support data-driven decision-making will be advantageous as well as high attention to detail and data accuracy, with the ability to translate complex datasets into clear, stakeholder-ready insights.
