You’ll also look for opportunities to cut down repetitive inquiries by leveraging automation and self-service options. Alongside this, you’ll help keep exhibitor data accurate in the exhibitor portal and the CRM, supporting better digital workflows across the board. Advice for applicants
First, make your student status and your study focus the headline of your resume. Lead with that you’re a current student in a field related to business, communications or events, and say you’re available during the late August to early September window for IFA. Tie this to a customer-facing background or projects where you handled inquiries, explained processes, or supported digital tools.
Show how you’ll prove you can handle multiple inquiries and still stay organized. Cite a concrete example where you balanced several requests, used a ticketing or CRM system, and kept customers satisfied in a timely way, preferably in German and English. If you’ve worked with AI chatbots or created knowledge base articles, point to those experiences and the outcomes you achieved.
Be ready to speak about on-site support at a large event. Have a short story ready about a time you helped others during a live project and what you learned about coordinating with cross-functional teams. Prepare to explain how you’d approach improving self-service options and what metrics you’d use to judge success.
Smart question to ask: which CRM and exhibitor-portal tools does the team currently rely on, and what would a successful first quarter look like for someone in this role?
