Mole Valley FarmersMole Valley Farmers is looking for a hands-on Yard Team Member to join its Yeovil team. This part-time, onsite role sits within the yard and feedstore operation and is a good fit for someone who enjoys practical work, helping customers, and keeping outdoor areas tidy. The company has a long-standing presence in rural retail and operates yards and feedstores where teamwork matters for smooth daily operations.
As part of the yard crew, you’ll split your week between stock handling, customer service at the counter and around the yard, and keeping external spaces in good order. You’ll work closely with the Stock Supervisor and the broader team to help ensure efficient operations and a welcoming experience for visitors and members alike. The role is structured for 16 hours per week across two days out of seven, with a focus on consistency and quality in every shift.
A day in the yard and feedstore
Expect to handle stock receivement, checks, and loading tasks with accuracy, while lending support at the point of sale when needed. Maintaining a high standard of presentation in the external areas and contributing to stock reviews and stocktakes are key parts of the job, along with following health and safety procedures and UFAS regulations to keep everyone safe.
Collaborating with the Stock Supervisor and the rest of the team, you’ll help investigate stock discrepancies and support ongoing stock control processes. It’s a role that blends practical, on‑the‑ground work with a focus on service quality, so clear communication and a strong eye for detail help you succeed day to day.

- Awareness of data protection / GDPR and health and safety standards
- A friendly, self-motivated, adaptable mindset and a team-focused approach to delivering high-quality service
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with agricultural or countryside settings
- A forklift truck licence would be advantageous
Pay, benefits and practical details
The role pays £10.85 - £12.71 per hour. For a part-time schedule of 16 hours per week across two days out of seven, the role is listed with an annualised range of £20,000 to £24,000 per year. The position is based on-site in Yeovil.
