MacKillop Family Services is seeking multiple Residential Care Workers for the Barwon region with immediate start and flexible part-time and casual roles in the Out of Home Care program, reporting to the Residential House Supervisor. You’ll provide safe, supportive accommodation for young people with complex needs and help them build life skills in a therapeutic setting. Key requirements include a Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (or equivalent), a genuine interest in young people, and strong emotional self-regulation with clear boundaries. This is a parttime and casual opportunity based throughout our Barwon region within our Out-of-Home Care Program. This position reports to the Residential House Supervisor

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention. If you hold a similar or relevant qualification such as a Diploma of Community Services, Social Work, or another related tertiary qualification you’re also encouraged to apply.
• A genuine interest in young people and their wellbeing.
• Demonstrate empathy for young people in our care in an open minded and nonjudgmental manner.
• Highly developed capacity for emotional self-regulation including the capacity to set and maintain consistent boundaries to provide safety, stability and consistency.

You must have a:

• Valid and current Driver’s Licence.
