JOB SUMMARY:

The CCB Analyst is responsible for assigned aircraft model line(s) and coordinating with the appropriate Integrated Product/Process Teams (IPTs).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Configuration Control Board Analyst will, with respect to drawing and specification, test procedure, Standard Allowance Specification, and Standard Repair Procedure changes.  This includes but is not limited to:

  • Evaluate all proposed changes, from a corporate perspective, regarding the necessity of the change and its effect on safety, quality, reliability, production, efficiency, performance, delivery, and cost.

  • Ensure that safety CR’s (Change Requests) are assigned to the highest priority and are assigned to an organization with expedited completion dates.

  • Maintain tracking status to ensure that the change is on schedule to implement.

  • Set ship serial effectivities and monitor the execution of change.

  • Produce agendas, minutes, and regular metrics depicting the health of the process and root causes needing correction

The Configuration Control Board Analyst will, in conjunction with the Configuration Control Team:

  • Evaluate all proposed changes, from a corporate perspective, regarding the necessity of the change and its effect on safety, quality, reliability, production, efficiency, performance, delivery, and cost.

  • Determine the change scope and possible bundling plan for change implementation.

  • Disposition and commit changes, establish ship serial effectivities.

  • Administer actions necessary to be in concert with revisions to the Approved Production Schedule (APS).

  • Obtain functional notification of pending delays to the schedule.

  • Make sure that the CR effectivity is determined based on schedule and block points.

  • Participates in the coordination and administration of assigned configuration management activities relative to the identification, analysis, tracking, and implementation of change.

  • Ensure that customer requirements are implemented and reviews change activity to ensure compliance with configuration management policies.

  • Prepares and coordinates the plans and schedules for new or existing programs.

  • Monitors and reviews implementation schedules.

  • Analyzes costs of projects in impacted areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and Operations to determine the most practical and cost-efficient solutions.

  • Resolves proposal preparation problems and assesses the progress against established plans and parameters.

  • Formulates and recommends corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements.

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Aviation, or related field required. Engineering and data configuration management preferred.

    • In lieu of degree, a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in engineering data and configuration management is required.

  • Operational experience with Product Lifecycle Management toolsets preferred.


    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent organizational and MS Office (Word/PowerPoint, Access skills)

  • Prefer: CCB, CM, ME, E&O Inventory Management and/or government contracting experience.

  • Experience with Textron Aviation change process, preferably new model experience and experience with both Beech and Cessna CCB

  • Excellent people and project management skills
