UP EducationUP Education is expanding its team with an Accommodation Coordinator to support international students, particularly those under 18, as they start their study journey in New Zealand. The role sits in Auckland CBD, full-time and on-site, and forms part of UP International College New Zealand, the university pathways arm of UP Education. The company partners with respected universities to help international students transition into English-speaking degree programs across NZ and Australia. The Accommodation Coordinator role is hands-on and student-focused. The successful candidate will manage accommodation arrangements, from homestays to Designated Caregiver placements, while handling enquiries, invoicing and payment follow-ups. They’ll work closely with students, their families, agents, providers and internal teams to ensure everyone has the information and support they need to feel secure and well cared for.
Day to day, the role covers coordinating accommodation for international students and supporting Under 18 welfare processes. It includes managing the Under 18 Holiday Plan, distributing forms, following up with students and families, and confirming arrangements with accommodation providers. In addition, the coordinator responds to enquiries from a range of stakeholders, organises accommodation changes and transfers, issues invoices and tracks payments, and keeps accurate records across relevant systems. The position also requires resolving issues in collaboration with accommodation providers and the wider team, and participating in a rotating roster to cover a 24/7 emergency phone for after-hours support. The role demands the ability to juggle competing priorities, stay on top of follow-ups and adapt when plans shift, all while maintaining a proactive, student-centered approach.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, agents, providers and internal teams
- Experience working with international students or within the international education sector would be an advantage
- Strong attention to detail when managing documentation, records, invoices and payments
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and CRM or student management systems, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Empathy and sound judgement when dealing with student welfare matters or sensitive situations
- The ability to work effectively with people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds
