The Impact You'll Make
Danfoss Power Solutions is seeking an Account Manager to enable profitable sales growth and distribution channel development in the assigned Canadian territory. This sales role is ideal for someone with strong customer focus, technical products knowledge, and interest in developing within the hydraulics, fluid power, and industrial/mobile equipment markets. The Account Manager will work closely with distributor partners, customer stakeholders, and internal support teams to identify opportunities, support account plans, and help develop Danfoss system-based solutions and maintain CRM data.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support territory sales, pipeline development, and account follow-up through proactive distributor and customer engagement.
- Build relationships with distribution channel partners and indirect customers while learning Danfoss products, solutions, and target applications.
- Use a professional sales process to uncover customer needs, document opportunities, handle basic objections, and coordinate internal support for proposals/solutions.
- Maintain accurate CRM activity, opportunity, account, and market intelligence information.
- Assist with account plans, distributor performance reviews, open-order follow-up, forecasts, and other sales-oriented documents as requested.
- Participate in product, application, and technical sales training; support customer/distributor training sessions as capability develops.
- Gather and communicate market intelligence, competitor activity, customer feedback, and potential growth opportunities.
- Travel within the assigned territory to support distributor partners, customer visits, business development, and training activities.
What We're Looking For
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, electrical, SW.
- 1-3 years of sales, customer service, technical support, distribution, or related business experience.
- Strong communication skills, learning agility, and ability to build relationships with distributor partners and customers.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within assigned territory.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office and willingness to maintain CRM discipline.
- Live within approximately 100km of the Vancouver International Airport (Mainland only).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to hydraulics, fluid power, mechanical systems, electronics, mobile equipment, industrial equipment, or technical products.
- Familiarity with distribution channels, OEMs, aftermarket sales, or business-to-business technical selling.
- Interest or experience in markets such as construction, agriculture, material handling, mining, oil & gas, forestry or industrial manufacturing.
- Bilingual capability preferred, not required.
- CFPS/CFPE certification, technical diploma, engineering background, or willingness to pursue fluid power training.
