Tips For Your Application
Put your degree and your relevant commercial experience up front on your resume, and call out any work in a technical or construction setting. If you have experience in account management, explicitly describe the portfolio you managed and how you supported revenue or margins.
Demonstrate you can prove the must-have skills by sharing concrete examples of relationships you’ve built with contractors, developers, architects or consultants, and describing how you led price, project and contract negotiations in past roles.
Be ready to discuss how you work with internal teams such as Customer Service, Operations and Technical Support to win deals and deliver on promises. You should also be prepared to talk about how you stay informed about market developments and translate them into commercial actions.
Ask a smart question in your interview about the role’s growth opportunities in the Netherlands and how success is measured for the SAPA Netherlands portfolio this year, or about how internal teams partner with the Account Manager to drive results. A good question will show you’re thinking about long-term impact and collaboration.
