About the Role

As an Accounts Officer, you’ll play a key role supporting the financial operations of our holiday parks across Australia, providing accounts receivable management, bank reconciliations and broader financial support.

Working collaboratively with stakeholders in our Adelaide office and remotely with park teams nationwide, you’ll help ensure consistent, streamlined financial processes across our portfolio. As the business continues to expand through new acquisitions, you’ll be instrumental in rolling out standardised processes and leveraging technology to drive efficiency, accuracy and scalability.

As part of a close-knit team of Accounts Officers, you’ll be allocated your own portfolio of parks and build strong, trusted relationships through proactive communication, support and partnership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bank and other balance sheet reconciliations: Reconcile bank statements for multiple parks and other balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Revenue completeness: Ensuring revenue generated at each site is captured in source systems and is completely and accurately recorded in the general ledger. This may include preparing or reviewing journal.
  • End-of-day procedures: Provide guidance and training to ensure end‑of‑day financial procedures are completed accurately and on time at each site.
  • Invoicing, receipting and debtor support: Assist parks with invoicing, receipting and debtor management processes as needed.
  • General financial queries: Support park staff by addressing financial‑related questions as they arise.
  • Customer financial queries: Assist with customer enquiries of a financial nature.
  • Process improvement: Proactively identify and implement improvements to financial processes and supporting documentation.
  • Workload management: Organise, prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Cross‑functional collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Operations and IT to support business objectives.

 

Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience in a similar finance or accounts role
  • Strong understanding of entry-level accounting and bookkeeping principles
  • Experience using accounting software (Workday highly regarded but not essential)
  • Exposure to Portfolio Management Systems (PMS) such as RMS or Newbook (desirable)
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage workload independently
