MacKillop Family Services is seeking three permanent full-time Active Outreach Support Workers for the National After-Hours Service in Preston to deliver high-quality residential care for vulnerable young people and support the after-hours team. About the role:

This position is situated within the MacKillop National After-Hours Services Unit which is responsible for providing high quality residential care that supports the emotional, social and behavioural care needs of vulnerable young people. 

The After-Hours Support Worker will support staff in providing ‘best practise’ care that meets the day-to-day needs of young people whilst delivering high quality outcomes for all young people and their families. Participate in team meetings with the National After-Hours Support Worker Team and other forums as required.

We are looking for 3 permanent full-time workers based in Preston, VIC within our MacKillop National After-Hours Service. The position reports to the Team Leader/ Coordinator.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• At least 3-5 years experience in youth services or residential care;
• A minimum qualification of a Diploma of Community Services
• Ability to relate to and work with young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
• Ability to implement behaviour management plans for young people with challenging behaviours;
• Experience and understanding of OH&s issues in the workplace;
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;

You must have a:

• Valid and current Driver’s Licence;
