  • Job location: Fort McMurray, Alberta at our Albian or Horizon Oil Sands site
  • Shift schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off, 12 hours per day
  • Term length: 4 months 
  • Term start: May 2027
  • Safety sensitive position: Yes

Key Accountabilities:

  • Use available software, reports and contractor data to be fully aware of lodge occupancy levels, forecasted reservations and capacity availability on a daily basis
  • Assist with maximizing camp room utilization by reviewing daily reports and making necessary adjustments
  • Meet with contractor representatives daily to ensure that regular operations are underway and to anticipate performance challenges before they occur
  • Complete daily lodge walking tours in order to maintain an awareness of general contractor performance levels, guest satisfaction levels and to identify deficiencies and opportunities for improvement
  • Be fully knowledgeable of the contractors’ scope of work (SOW), including the contractors’ KPIs
  • Assist with the mobilization and demobilization of dorms and lodges during periods of increased or decreased occupancy
  • Assist with the oversight of safety compliance, facility maintenance coordination, housekeeping, administrative functions, catering functions, recreation and culinary activities and guest concerns
  • Assist with Turnaround and Outage events with increased on-site headcount to ensure the camp and travel logistics meet the needs of the business for a successful event

What You Bring to The Role:

  • Post-secondary education with a focus on business administration, hospitality management, and/or project management (PMP)
  • Experience in food service, accommodations, customer service, remote lodging and/or facility management services, ideally in a contracted or subcontracted unionized environment
  • Hospitality background with experience in the food and beverage industry or hotel management
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to balance priorities, adapt quickly to changes and effectively manage time in a professional and dynamic working environment
