In this role, you'll:
Working within our Finance and Commercial Team at Sydney Trains, the primary purpose of our Analyst is to take responsibility to analyse data and assist in producing regular and ad hoc reports to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
In preparing the reports the Analyst is required to perform data analysis and make large and/or complex data more understandable and usable.
About you
This role is accountable for providing data and analysis input into recurring reporting deliverables (having weekly, monthly, quarterly, six - monthly and annual reporting cycles) including ad-hoc reporting requests.
You will provide support to the Line Manager in the interpretation of trends, problem areas and opportunities from the data gathered from systems used by the divisions.
You will engage internal business stakeholders regarding requirements relating to gathering, report design, testing and deployment, to ensure that reporting requirements are understood and met.
You will manage and maintain the division’s reporting timetable on a regular basis to ensure the timely submission of data by stakeholders is managed in an effective manner.
You will undertake analysis and maintain dashboards and perform updates as necessary to ensure accuracy. Regularly examine data reports to locate and resolve mistakes throughout as well as accurately analyse and create business reports that provide insight into key data points.
You will provide input into the maintenance of metrics for the division’s executive and contribute to the management and timely update of Visual Management boards.
You will also visualise data insights (dashboarding), monitor data and performance to identify changes in trends and communicate findings to teams.
