PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Join CPKC’s Engineering Asset Management team as an Analyst Linear Asset, where you’ll play a key role in keeping our railway running smarter and more efficiently.  

 

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Troubleshoot user and system issues within Engineering Asset Management (EAM) systems 
  • Use SAP data to audit work orders and notifications associated with existing assets 
  • Coordinate and deliver in-person and virtual training sessions for new EAM users and facilitate refresher training sessions as needed 
  • Develop and maintain training materials for EAM systems, including manuals, videos, and internal system resources 
  • Work with Engineering and Information Systems (IS) representatives on incident resolution and enhancement development 
  • Work with leaders in the field to regularly update asset characteristics  
  • Prepare user hardware and system access to support the EAM systems, ensuring that qualified users have appropriate front end and report access 
  • Provide and collect regulatory documents for the Federal Railroad Administration, Transport Canada, etc as required 

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or general equivalency 
  • University degree in Engineering or a minimum or of 3 years’ experience in inspection of Engineering track assets 
  • Valid driver’s license  
  • Valid passport with ability to travel to U.S./Canada/Mexico without restrictions 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage leaders at all levels

Management Conductor Program

Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
