Surface Experts is seeking a full-time Apprentice in Derby KS to join a hands-on team delivering fast, creative repairs and top-notch customer service. You’ll follow our clear 5-step repair process, log work in the dispatch tool, and move from Apprentice to Surface Repair Technician in four weeks. Expect $19 to $25 per hour plus monthly production bonuses, with a health insurance stipend, 401(k), paid time off after six months, a company vehicle, and a flexible schedule including no weekends or late nights. We Offer: 

• Pay range of $19 to $25 per hour includes base pay and performance-based bonuses

Requirements

• Experience working with your hands - This could be in construction, manufacturing, painting, or even a personal hobby
• An ability to identify, compare, and recreate colors - Understanding color and how to match color is a large part of what we do

Hiring Process

• Within 24 hours: A live team member will reach out to all applicants
• Within 48 hours: We’ll schedule an in-person interview
• Within 7 days: The hiring process is typically complete

Duties:

• Display world-class customer service for tenants and property management staff
• Track work progress and notes in our dispatch tool 
• Communicate with the support team with questions
• Understand and utilize our unique 5-step repair process
• Employ each tool in your custom tool-kit
• Problem-solve repairs with creativity

• Our typical repair requires only 1 to 2 tablespoons of product so our technicians can carry their entire set of tools and equipment in a small vehicle.  Our approach is clean and free of odors in less than two hours.
