Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive business development and sales to grow your caseload of apprentices, trainees and partner organisations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with apprentices, Host Employers, training providers, and other essential partners.
  • Mentor and support apprentices, conducting site visits and performance management to ensure their success.
  • Oversee on-the-job training, providing ongoing support and performance counselling when needed.

This is a dynamic role suited for an agile professional who enjoys high-productivity environments and managing high-priority, competing priorities.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience in sales and business development, with a knack for relationship building.
  • A strong understanding of the vocational education sector.
  • A strong understanding of employment needs, with apprentice mentoring experience highly regarded.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills – you’re a people person at heart!
  • Initiative, drive, and the ability to work autonomously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to navigate sensitive stakeholder discussions and deliver constructive feedback.
  • Experience within a Group Training Organisation (GTO), Private Training Establishment (PTE), is highly regarded.

Important Details:

  • Immediate start available - Applicant must be living locally to Christchurch and we willing to travel to Nelson | Marlborough, the West Coast and Timaru.
  • Must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
  • Unrestricted Drivers Licence and the ability to work autonomously while on the road.
  • This role requires an Ministry of Justice Check, which we will arrange for the successful applicant.
