Apprentice Electrician

On-site learning in Saskatoon
In this role, you’ll perform electrical tasks under the guidance of a certified Journeyperson Electrician, assisting with installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment. You’ll work with low, medium and high voltage systems appropriate to your training level, and participate in a structured, progressive skills development path. You’ll accurately record hours worked and tasks performed toward apprenticeship requirements, support troubleshooting and testing of electrical and control systems, and keep tools and equipment in safe working order. Travel to project sites, including out-of-town assignments, may be required.
Must-have requirements
- You are registered or eligible to register as an Apprentice Electrician with the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC)
- You are committed to completing the required technical in-school training and the on-the-job hours
- You will maintain a valid apprenticeship agreement throughout your employment
Nice-to-haves to help you stand out
- You have prior industrial or commercial electrical experience
- You have completed safety training such as CSTS and WHMIS

This is a full-time, on-site role in Saskatoon and may require travel to project sites, including out-of-town assignments.
Compliance with Shermco Canada’s health, safety and environmental policies is required, and required training programs must be completed. The position may involve pre-employment and ongoing testing under the Alcohol and Drug Policy and applicable laws.
