OneSchool Global New Zealand is seeking an experienced and passionate educational leader to join our Hastings Campus Leadership Team as an Assistant Campus Principal on an 18-month fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. While this position is fixed-term, it presents an excellent opportunity to join the OneSchool Global network, with potential for future opportunities subject to organisational needs and available vacancies.
This is an exciting opportunity to help maintain and build on the strong culture, academic success, and strategic direction of our campus while supporting students, staff, and families through a period of leadership transition.
Reporting to the Campus Principal, you will play a key role in promoting academic excellence, student wellbeing, and operational effectiveness. Responsibilities include supporting NCEA processes and student achievement, coordinating assessment and reporting programmes, overseeing student progress and pastoral systems, mentoring staff, contributing to quality assurance processes, and helping drive campus improvement initiatives. The role also includes a teaching component.
The successful applicant will:
• Hold current New Zealand teacher registration and eligibility to work in NZ.
• Have proven leadership experience as a Head of Department, Dean, Curriculum Leader, Assistant Principal, or similar.
• Possess strong knowledge of NCEA and senior secondary pathways.
• Be an outstanding classroom practitioner committed to student success.
• Demonstrate the ability to build positive relationships and maintain a strong, collaborative school culture.
• Be highly organised, resilient, and committed to continuous improvement.
