Apparel Group is hiring an Assistant Manager for its UAE distribution center to lead inbound operations, drive process improvements, and supervise a frontline team. The role covers scheduling, receiving, unloading and put-away, ensuring on‑time deliveries per SOPs, KPIs and SLAs, and coordinating with transport, vendors and brand teams. You’ll identify bottlenecks, monitor inventory accuracy and bin management, and support automation projects while coaching floor staff, crafting rosters, and delivering training. Key Responsibility:

Inbound Operations Management

  • Oversee the full cycle of inbound operations including scheduling, receiving, unloading, and put-away of shipments.
  • Ensure timely processing of inbound deliveries in line with DC SOPs, KPIs, and SLAs.
  • Coordinate with transport, vendors, and brand teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in receipt of goods.

Process Optimization & Efficiency

  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to streamline workflows.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy, bin management, and system updates for inbound stock.
  • Support automation and digitization initiatives to enhance warehouse productivity.

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Manage and coach floor supervisors, team leaders, and associates to ensure performance and adherence to warehouse processes.
  • Develop daily/weekly rosters and allocate manpower based on workload and priorities.
  • Conduct training programs and performance evaluations to upskill the team and promote accountability.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Serve as a liaison between brand teams, logistics, and quality control for all inbound-related concerns.
  • Conduct regular review meetings to ensure alignment with business objectives and inventory availability.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across DC operations.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Track operational KPIs including receiving accuracy, put-away time, and space utilization.
  • Prepare daily/weekly reports for senior management and recommend improvements based on data insights.
  • Ensure documentation and audit trails are maintained as per internal policies and external audit standards.

Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; a certification or diploma in Supply Chain Management is preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in distribution center operations, preferably within the retail industry.
  • Proven experience in managing inbound processes, team supervision, and inventory coordination.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze operational data, identify gaps, and implement process improvements.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and compliance.
