Auckland Zoo is seeking a permanent full-time Assistant Retail Sales Advisor to support the Zoo Shop on-site in Central Auckland, 40 hours per week, working with the Retail Sales Advisor and Storeroom Coordinator to manage stock ordering, pricing, cataloguing, inventory, online orders and the day-to-day shop experience. The role requires a minimum NCEA Level 3 and essential retail experience; a current New Zealand driver’s license is preferred and familiarity with Lightspeed and Shopify is a plus. You should be reliable, organized, detail oriented and able to juggle priorities while delivering a great visitor experience. With the continued growth of the Zoo Shop, we’re looking for a motivated, organised and detail-focused Assistant Retail Sales Advisor to help keep our retail operation running smoothly. This is a permanent, full-time role working 40 hours per week, based on-site at the Auckland Zoo Retail Shop. Working closely with the Retail Sales Advisor and Storeroom Coordinator, this role will support everything from stock ordering, pricing, cataloguing and inventory accuracy through to online orders, shop presentation and helping create a welcoming retail experience for our visitors.

You will be comfortable working with numbers and keen to learn more about product mix, stock performance and profitability. Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic will be key to helping the Zoo Shop run smoothly and deliver a great visitor experience.
