Opensignal is seeking an Associate Product Manager in London to be the strategic glue between engineering, sales and client management, owning outcomes and ensuring continuity while clarifying workflows and strengthening stakeholder management. The role blends data storytelling with strategic trade offs, balancing technical feasibility, user value and commercial viability in ambiguity. You will design scalable processes, guide cost and data quality trade offs, lead alignment, oversee risk based delivery, and own incident resolution and legacy work. Bring analytics skills (Excel, SQL, Python), a strong ownership mindset, and clear communication with senior stakeholders. Apply on our official site with a concise CV and cover letter that show impact in strategy and delivery, highlighting release management and collaboration skills; follow official channels and beware of offers outside the site.

How you will make an impact:

The Associate Product Manager will act as the strategic glue connecting engineering, sales, and client management, taking full ownership of outcomes. You will ensure continuity across critical delivery streams while introducing structure and clarity to the team’s workflows, alongside providing high-touch, white-glove stakeholder management. Leveraging a strong analytical background, you will go beyond backlog management to tell compelling stories with data—balancing technical feasibility, user desirability, and commercial viability to inform decision-making.

This is a high-impact role suited to someone who thrives in ambiguous environments, leads through influence rather than authority, and is comfortable navigating the trade-offs between technical constraints, customer value, and commercial realities.

What you’ll be doing:

Product Strategy & Process Architecture

  • Bring Order to Ambiguity: Design and implement practical, scalable processes that make execution more predictable without slowing teams down.
  • Strategic Trade-offs: Go beyond basic requirements gathering to frame complex options for stakeholders, guiding difficult conversations around cost, feasibility, data quality, and long term architecture. You’ll propose pragmatic, phased solutions that balance immediate needs with sustainable outcomes.
  • Data-Driven Storytelling: Use analytics and insights to articulate product value, performance, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment:  Act as the primary connector between design, engineering, scraping, and QA translating technical complexity into clear actionable decisions.

Operational Continuity & Delivery (Keeping the Lights On)

  • Risk-Based Delivery Management: Oversee  regular release cycles, proactively identifying and managing risks to ensure timelines and data quality targets are met.
  • Forum Leadership: Facilitate key weekly planning and issue resolution forums to maintain momentum, accountability, and clarity across teams..
  • Incident & Critical Issue Ownership: Drive the resolution of critical issues (e.g., scoring discrepancies or scrape failures) by normalizing conditions, validating data integrity, and managing the escalation flow between engineering, operations and client stakeholders.
  • Legacy & In-Flight Initiatives: Ensure continuity across legacy systems and in-flight projects, minimizing disruption while improvements are made.

What you Bring:

  • Advanced Analytical Capability: Comfortable conducting independent analysis using tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or modern LLMs to assess product performance and generate insights.
  • Ownership& Accountability : You take responsibility for outcomes, not just the tasks, and are comfortable bridging technical constraints with client and business needs.
  • Structured Problem Solving: You’re able to offer creativity and  clarity when solving unstructured problems, defining clear paths forward rather than relying on reactive fixes.
  • Effective Communication: You are confident engaging senior stakeholders and clients with clarity and empathy, managing expectations while navigating technical, operational and commercial constraints.
  • Technical Curiosity: You are quick to grasp technical concepts (e.g., DOM structure, app scraping limitations, computer vision) to effectively triage issues and collaborate with engineers

Tools & Education:

  • Iterative Delivery Mindset: Strong judgement in balancing speed, learning, and product quality to continuously improve user experience
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable working with modern product and collaboration tools (e.g. Shortcut, Productboard, or similar)
