Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Architectural Project Leader or Associate to play a key role in supporting the design quality and successful delivery of some of Queensland's most significant projects.

Working alongside project and sector leaders, you'll contribute across a portfolio of complex health and civil infrastructure projects, helping teams navigate challenging design, technical and coordination issues while ensuring design intent is maintained through delivery.

This is a role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, bringing clarity to difficult project situations, and helping project teams achieve high-quality outcomes. You'll work across multiple projects rather than being tied to a single commission, providing guidance, mentoring and technical leadership where it matters most.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting project teams through complex design and delivery challenges
  • Helping maintain design quality throughout documentation and construction phases
  • Reviewing and resolving technical, coordination and constructability issues
  • Working closely with project leaders, consultants and specialist advisors
  • Contributing to project reviews, quality assurance and design governance processes
  • Mentoring architects and emerging project leaders across the studio
  • Collaborating across architecture, landscape architecture and interior design teams.

Qualifications

About you

You may currently be an Associate, Project Leader or experienced Senior Project Architect looking to step into a broader leadership role.

You'll bring:

  • Experience delivering complex architectural projects
  • Strong technical and documentation capability
  • Confidence navigating multidisciplinary project environments
  • The ability to balance design intent with practical project delivery requirements
  • A collaborative approach and a willingness to support others
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Health experience is not essential. We're more interested in people who enjoy working on complex projects, solving challenging design and delivery issues, and helping teams produce exceptional work.

Additional Information

Our team enjoys a wide range of benefits to support their development and well-being:

  • 16 weeks paid parental leave for both primary and secondary carers.
  • A progressive flexible work policy that allows hybrid work, location flexibility and work pattern flexibility
  • Inter-studio transfer opportunities
  • Wellbeing benefits
  • Development and training opportunities, including access to online training programs and our People Coach program.
  • Study assistance.
