What You'll Do

The Barback assists bartenders with essential support in maintaining a well-stocked, clean, and efficient bar environment. The role is key in ensuring a positive guest experience by preparing and restocking supplies, maintaining bar cleanliness, and providing prompt support to bartenders during busy service times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a fully stocked bar by ensuring supplies like glassware, ice, garnishes, mixers, and alcohol are readily available throughout service. Restock items quickly as they deplete.
• Assist in setting up the bar at the start of the shift, including organizing equipment, arranging supplies, and preparing garnishes and other essentials.
• Keep the bar area, equipment, and storage areas clean, sanitized, and organized throughout the shift. This includes wiping down surfaces, washing and drying glassware, and sweeping/mopping floors as needed.
• Support bartenders by fetching and delivering drinks, ingredients, and supplies quickly. Help with simple drink preparation tasks as directed by the bartender.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, reporting shortages to bartenders or the bar manager to prevent service interruptions.
• Engage with customers courteously and professionally if approached, helping create a welcoming environment while directing any specific orders or requests to the bartender.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean and safe work environment, including proper handling and storage of all bar equipment and ingredients.
• Assist with closing duties by cleaning, organizing, and restocking the bar for the next day’s service.

 What You Bring

• Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
• Strong multitasking abilities and quick problem-solving.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic knowledge of bar equipment, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and handle physically demanding tasks.
• Must be comfortable working in a noisy, busy environment.
• A successful barback thrives in fast-paced environments, supporting the team proactively and responding quickly to the bar’s needs. This role is a great entry point for those interested in learning more about bartending and customer service within the hospitality industry.
