Bilingual Billing Coordinator
DeloitteDeloitte is looking for a Bilingual Billing Coordinator to join its Canada team in Toronto, with a hybrid work arrangement that also lists Ottawa as an available location. This full-time, permanent role sits in Global Finance Services, a unit focused on delivering consistent financial operations across the network. The team seeks someone who can communicate fluently in both French and English and who thrives in a collaborative, client-facing setting.
In this role, you’ll support the billing process for engagements across the firm, helping keep invoicing accurate and timely while coordinating with partners and staff at all levels. Deloitte emphasizes development and a people‑first culture, and the Total Rewards package reflects a mix of salary, bonuses and programs designed to support well‑being and growth.
As Canada’s largest 100% Canadian-owned and operated professional services firm, Deloitte brings together clients and colleagues across the country to build trusted financial and business outcomes. Deloitte Canada operates within a global network that standardizes processes and drives consistent, compliant operations across locations.
A day in the life of a billing coordinator
You will process a high volume of invoices and keep engagement records up to date, while also handling credit notes and cancellations when needed. You’ll close out older work-in-progress and respond to inquiries, making sure billing rules and tax requirements are followed. You’ll build virtual relationships with colleagues at all levels, manage portfolios and support partners, and you’ll analyse financial queries to keep the billing process running smoothly. Overall, you’ll ensure that billing procedures align with the firm’s established guidelines and applications.
What you’ll need to bring to the desk
Here’s what Deloitte looks for in a strong candidate:
- Bilingual in French and English, with solid written and spoken communication
- At least one year of hands-on experience in a similar billing or finance role
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Invoicing taxes understood at an intermediate to expert level
- Willingness and ability to learn other software as needed
- Clear communication with management and staff at all levels
- Additional language skills beyond French and English
- Experience in a professional services or global finance environment
- More advanced Excel skills or familiarity with billing platforms beyond the basics
Compensation and the perks you’ll receive
The position offers a salary range of $47,000 to $78,000 per year, with the possibility of earning a bonus based on performance.
Beyond pay, the Total Rewards Package includes a range of benefits designed to support wellbeing and growth. That includes up to $4,000 per year for mental-health related support, a $1,300 flexible benefit spending account, firm-wide closures known as Deloitte Days, dedicated Development and Innovation Days for learning, and flexible work arrangements within a hybrid model.
The firm also highlights its commitment to diversity, with flexible options and an inclusive environment that aims to meet the needs of a broad workforce across Canada.
Tips for making your mark in this role
Lead with your bilingual billing experience at the top of your resume, especially any work handling high volumes of invoices and engagement data.
Show how you prove the must-have skills with concrete examples, such as how you applied invoicing tax rules to a tricky charge and used Excel to reconcile the numbers or coordinated with a partner team using email and calendar tools to resolve a billing issue.
Be ready to share stories about collaborating with managers, staff and partners across levels, and describe how you managed a portfolio of engagements while addressing financial questions.
Ask about how the Global Finance Services team collaborates across Toronto and Ottawa and what billing platform Deloitte uses to manage engagements.
