Merck Group’s MilliporeSigma seeks a Bioprocess Applications Engineer 3 in Bedford, MA, onsite, full time, to join the Single Use and Integrated Systems Product Development team. You’ll blend engineering fundamentals with hands on experimentation, data analysis and modeling to evaluate next generation bioprocessing platforms, translate insights into product requirements, and guide development and customer success from concept to commercialization. Focus areas include CFD and mechanistic or data driven models of flow, mixing and heat transfer, designing application studies and scale down models, and cross functional collaboration with customers and internal teams. Qualifications: PhD in engineering or Master’s with 4+ years, or Bachelor’s with 5+ years; preferred: CFD, single use tech, DOE and strong communication. Your Role:
We’re seeking a Bioprocess Applications Engineer 3 to join the Single Use and Integrated Systems Product Development team, part of MilliporeSigma’s Process Solutions business unit. Based at our Bedford, MA campus, this role will support the development and application of integrated platform solutions for next-generation bioprocessing.
In this role, you will combine engineering fundamentals, hands-on experimentation, data analysis, modeling, and customer-focused problem-solving to evaluate emerging technologies and characterize system performance. You will translate application insights into product requirements, technical recommendations, and practical guidance that support both product development and customer success.
This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys applying technical depth to real-world bioprocessing challenges — defining the right problem, developing appropriate experimental or modeling approaches, and converting insights into recommendations that support product development and customer success.

Pay Range for this position - $84,900 - $127,300
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
