Watco is hiring a Bulk Laborer in Houston to support terminal, vessel and warehouse operations in the Bulk department. Starting pay is $17 per hour with a Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule and occasional overtime and weekend work at 14035 Industrial Rd. You will load and unload, move materials, operate equipment for transfers between silos, railcars, barges and vessels, and ensure safety, SOPs and PPE compliance. Requirements include teamwork, dependable attendance, ability to work outdoors in varying weather, a flexible schedule including days and nights, overtime, weekends and holidays, as well as HAZMAT and TWIC; 18+ with HS or GED. A Laborer working with our Bulk department is responsible for performing a variety of manual and equipment-assisted tasks to support terminal, vessel, and warehouse operations. Including but not limited to, loading, unloading, material handling, and basic maintenance. Ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company procedures and safety standards.
• Supports daily terminal, vessel, and warehouse operations
• Communicates with superintendents, foremen, and management to determine staffing needs and prioritize workflow
• Operate and maintain equipment for safe transfer of materials between silos, railcars, barges, and vessels
• Supports communication between drivers, warehouse teams, and management using radio and digital systems
• Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), PPE policies, and all safety and environmental regulations
• Perform maintenance, inspections, and additional operational duties as assigned to support terminal and vessel efficiency
