Business Analyst
FibrusFibrus is looking for a Business Analyst to join its Business Improvement team. The role centers on exploring how the business operates, mapping processes, data structures and information flows to back project delivery. It’s a full-time, remote position based from Dargan, as the company continues to expand its digital infrastructure across Northern Ireland and Great Britain. The right candidate will enjoy solving problems, collaborating with stakeholders and turning analysis into practical improvements.
Fibrus positions itself as a people-first employer with recognition for diversity and a culture built on trust, collaboration and flexibility. In return, you can expect a competitive salary and a solid benefits package that includes private healthcare, mental health workshops and support for professional development.
A day in the life in the business improvement orbit
In this role you’ll help drive project delivery by digging into how functions operate, how processes flow, and how information moves between systems. You’ll shape requirements and produce the artefacts that bring clarity to both business and technical teams, such as business requirements and test plans, while running workshops to map current and future processes and uncover root causes to present practical options for improvement. Working alongside an agile team that uses SCRUM, you’ll help define the level of best practice within the function and push for its adoption across the business.
What you’ll bring
- A strong focus and a keen eye for detail
- Self-motivated with a customer-first work ethic
- Ability to own workstreams within a project plan and track delivery
- Pride in achieving the best mutual outcome for customers and the business
- Excellent listening and influencing skills with stakeholders at various levels
- Proven experience gathering and documenting system and software requirements (functional and non-functional)
- Solid working knowledge of modelling tools and data structures, including data models and class diagrams
- Experience conducting proof-of-concept or prototyping exercises
- Strong organisational abilities and excellent communication
Nice-to-haves
- Experience using Jira
- ISO9001 document control experience
Pay, benefits and practical details
The role comes with a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package. In addition to private healthcare, there are mental health workshops and professional development support. Fibrus also recognises life events with comprehensive policies around menopause, mental health, pregnancy loss and maternity, parental and adoption leave. As the company grows, you’d join a team dedicated to transforming the digital infrastructure of Northern Ireland and Great Britain. This is a remote role, with the location listed as Dargan.
Advice for applicants
Lead with your substantial Business Analyst experience, especially where you’ve delivered projects in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
Be ready to demonstrate concrete examples of gathering and documenting system requirements (both functional and non-functional) and show how you’ve owned workstreams and kept delivery on track, including how you’ve handled data modelling and process mapping.
Prepare stories about workshops you’ve led to capture stakeholder requirements, how you mapped current versus future processes, and times you influenced senior stakeholders to adopt a recommended path.
When you ask a question in interviews, seek clarity on how the team balances SCRUM practices with establishing and implementing best practices within the Business Improvement function, and how success is measured.
