Deutsche Post DHL’s DHL Supply Chain is looking for a senior commercial leader to own the Life Sciences & Healthcare growth agenda across the Middle East & Africa. The role sits in a global logistics environment, and it’s built for someone who can combine deep Contract Logistics expertise with a clear eye for Life Sciences & Healthcare opportunities. If you enjoy shaping regional strategy, building strategic customer relationships and turning complex needs into end-to-end supply chain solutions, this could be the fit.

The position is based in Dubai, AE, and works on-site as part of a broader regional team. It’s a hands-on, cross-functional leadership role that partners with Country Business Development teams, Operations, Solution Design, Regional Sector teams and other DHL divisions to unlock growth. The company wants someone who can bring market insights to the regional strategy and help strengthen DHL’s LSHC proposition across MEA.

Steering LSHC growth across the MEA region

Day to day, you’ll shape and implement the MEA LSHC business development strategy, aiming for sustainable revenue growth, profitability and market share gains. You’ll actively identify, cultivate and close strategic Life Sciences & Healthcare opportunities, building a robust sector pipeline and accelerating growth with key strategic customers. Expect to lead complex RFIs, RFQs and RFPs, coordinating with multiple functions to craft competitive, sector-specific supply chain solutions, and to steer commercial negotiations with a consultative, value-based selling approach. You’ll also nurture strong relationships with LSHC customers, industry stakeholders and associations, while collaborating closely with country teams, operations, solution design and regional sector groups to uncover new opportunities and improve the value DHL delivers in the region. Your insights from markets and customers will feed into regional strategy and the ongoing strengthening of DHL’s LSHC offerings, and you’ll help develop a community of best practice across MEA by sharing learnings and coaching others.

Must-haves for a regional LSHC driver

  • Extensive business development experience in Contract Logistics, with solid exposure to Life Sciences & Healthcare and a proven record of winning and growing complex business
  • Strong understanding of LSHC supply chains, customer requirements and industry standards, combined with commercial acumen, strategic thinking and the ability to influence across countries and functions in a matrix organization
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, engineering or a related discipline is required; an MBA is an advantage. Fluency in English is essential, with additional regional language skills an advantage

Nice-to-haves that could set you apart

  • Proven capability to shape and execute regional growth plans across MEA for the Life Sciences & Healthcare sector
  • Experience leading commercial negotiations and driving value-based selling in a multi-country, matrix setup
  • Track record of building and managing a robust sector pipeline, with strong stakeholder management across customers, associations and internal teams

Pay, benefits and practical details

The role is fulltime and onsite in Dubai, AE, focused on building and growing DHL’s Life Sciences & Healthcare business in the MEA region.

Tips for a standout application

Lead your resume with a sharp note on your extensive BD experience in Contract Logistics, explicitly tying it to Life Sciences & Healthcare and to notable wins or expansions in complex deals across multiple markets.

Show you can prove the must-haves by weaving in concrete examples of influencing cross-country and cross-functional teams within a matrix organization, and by highlighting deals where you led RFIs, RFQs or RFPs and used a value-based selling approach to win.

Be ready to discuss how you would approach a regional MEA growth plan for LSHC, including how you would build and accelerate a sector pipeline and how you would collaborate with Country Business Development, Operations, Solution Design and regional sector teams to unlock opportunities.

Ask a targeted question about cross-functional collaboration, for example: how does the team partner with Country BDs, Operations, Solution Design and other DHL divisions to move opportunities from first touch to closed revenue, and what does success look like in the first six to twelve months?
