Business Development Manager (Auckland)
FreshaFresha, the AI-powered operating system for the global beauty, wellness and self-care community, is looking to add a Business Development Manager to its Auckland team. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity in New Zealand’s largest city, designed for someone who wants to help salons, spas and wellness practitioners grow using Fresha’s ecosystem. Fresha powers everything from consumer discovery and bookings to an all-in-one operations platform, and its reach spans 140,000+ businesses and 450,000+ stylists and professionals worldwide, with over 1 billion appointments processed to date. The company is headquartered in London and operates 15 global offices across North America, EMEA and APAC.
The role reports to the Business Development Team Lead and sits within the Commercial group, focusing entirely on bringing in new business. You’ll manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach through to close, with a heavy emphasis on outbound activity. Expect to demonstrate Fresha’s value through product demos and engaging, multi-channel outreach that shows how the platform can help a partner grow revenue and streamline operations.
This position suits someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, likes working autonomously, and wants to make a measurable impact in a growing company.
Opening doors in the Auckland market
You will own the end-to-end sales cycle for the Auckland territory, prioritising outbound business development and converting prospects into Fresha partners. Your days will mix calls to decision-makers, emails and social touches, and compelling product demonstrations that illustrate how Fresha helps businesses attract more customers and manage their operations more efficiently, whether you meet people in person or online.
You’ll collaborate closely with the Commercial team and potential partners to ensure a smooth experience and to tailor Fresha’s solutions to each business’s goals. You’ll also feed market feedback to help shape ongoing strategy, while keeping all activity documented in the CRM so the team can track progress and plan next steps.
Inbound leads will come your way, but the emphasis remains on outbound outreach and closing new business. Throughout, you’ll keep the customer’s growth objectives at the forefront of every conversation.
What you’ll bring to the table
- Two or more years in solid B2B sales with a proven record of meeting or beating targets
- A background in software-as-a-service, online marketplaces or payments platforms is highly desirable
- You’re a proactive hunter who also builds strong, lasting relationships
- You’re well organized, able to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively
- You have a curious mindset and a genuine desire to grow and develop
- Beauty and wellness experience is a bonus
Fresha values passion and potential as much as specific skills. If you’re enthusiastic and eager to learn, you’re encouraged to apply, even if you don’t meet every listed requirement. The company aims to foster growth and provide the support needed to excel in the role.

Advice for applicants
Lead with your B2B sales results on your resume and open with a concise snapshot of your track record, especially if you have SaaS or marketplace experience. A strong opening helps recruiters quickly see you meet the core must-haves.
Show concrete proof you can own the full sales cycle and execute multi-channel outbound outreach. Include a story where you moved a prospect from first contact to close, using a mix of phone, email and social touches and a product demo that clearly tied to revenue growth.
Be ready for the interview stages with the APAC talent partner, the Head of BD APAC, and a 75-minute presentation with the Head of BD (APAC). Consider preparing a practical mini-demo or case that demonstrates how you would win an Auckland partner and the metrics you’d monitor to prove success.
End with a smart question that signals you’re thinking about impact in this market, for example: How will success be measured in the Auckland territory in the first 3–6 months, and how does the BD team collaborate with Marketing and Product to deliver a seamless partner experience?
