The company started in 2014 and has grown into a global business valued at over $2 billion, with a footprint across six countries and a roster of more than 350,000 SMEs. They serve more than 3 million employees and help job seekers find roles through their platform, positioning this NZ role as a meaningful chance to influence growth in a fast-moving tech company.

As an Outbound Sales Development Representative for New Zealand, you’ll be directly tied to growing qualified leads and sales opportunities, helping the team hit ambitious targets and move the BHAG forward. The base salary is 83,000 NZD per year with on-target earnings around 131,000 NZD, and an earnings potential of 140% or more of target. You’ll be part of the NZ sales group and play a key role in laying the groundwork for long-term growth through proactive outreach and smart qualification.
Kicking off conversations with the NZ market
Your day-to-day centers on creating new business opportunities through proactive outreach, including cold calls, strategic emails, and timely follow-ups. You’ll identify who the key decision-makers are within target accounts and establish the initial connection that sets the stage for a deeper sales process. Working closely with Account Executives, you’ll ensure high-potential leads are handed over cleanly for further development and closing, all while building a robust prospect pipeline in your assigned segment. You’ll also dive into account research to spark interest and sometimes join in on engaging online demos to move prospects along the journey.
In practice, you’ll source opportunities through a mix of outreach activities and ongoing follow-ups, conduct discovery to understand customer needs, and keep the prospect database nourished as you expand your footprint. Your collaboration with the broader team will include supporting demos as needed and ensuring a smooth transition from interest to engagement with the right sales motion.

Tips to help you stand out for this NZ outbound role
Highlight your outbound B2B achievements up front in your resume, with concrete numbers that show you hit or surpassed targets, especially in high-volume environments with multiple outreach channels.
Showcase hands-on experience with the exact tools the job calls for, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Lusha, ZoomInfo, and Outreach. Include a brief note on the type of campaigns you ran and the impact they had on your pipeline or close rate.
Be ready to discuss how you approach discovery calls and how you identify the right decision-makers, plus how you hand over qualified opportunities to Account Executives for closure. Bring examples of collaboration that led to faster cycle times or higher conversion rates.
For the interview, prepare a question that reveals how the NZ team operates within a remote-first, autonomous setup, such as what a successful first 90 days looks like and how the handoff process works between SDRs and AEs in practice.
