You’ll report to the Sales Development Manager and play a key part in building a steady stream of qualified leads and opportunities that fuel the growth of Employment Hero’s solutions. It’s a fit for someone who enjoys a metrics-driven role, is comfortable on the phone, and wants to contribute to a company that blends human and AI-powered workflows.
Employment Hero describes its DNA as The EH Way, with a focus on mission, autonomy, and performance. The role is designed for someone who wants to work with a team that values high standards and meaningful impact, while taking advantage of AI-enabled tools to accelerate their work.
Growing the NZ sales pipeline
Day to day, you’ll be at the frontline of opportunity creation, following up inbound signals and reaching out to new prospects through calls and emails. You’ll identify key decision-makers within your assigned accounts and spark interest in Employment Hero’s solutions, laying the groundwork for deeper engagements. Working with Account Executives, you’ll hand off the most promising opportunities so they can move toward discovery, demos and eventual closure. You’ll also keep your prospect database fresh and organized to ensure a steady rhythm of qualified leads and ongoing coverage in your segment.
Alongside proactive outreach, you’ll engage in discovery conversations to understand customer needs, conduct targeted account research to map who matters inside each business, and participate in online demos when appropriate to illustrate how Employment Hero can meet those needs. The role blends outbound prospecting with collaboration across the sales team to keep opportunities moving through the funnel and to support sustained pipeline growth.
What you’ll bring
You’ll need to demonstrate a track record in high-volume outbound B2B sales, with at least a year on the books in a similar role. You should be comfortable using tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Lusha, ZoomInfo and Outreach to locate and engage potential customers. A history of over-achieving targets is important, as is a strong phone presence and resilience for a full day of calls. Clear verbal and written communication, active listening, and the ability to present information effectively are essential, along with the capacity to juggle multiple tasks and manage your time well.
Pay, benefits and practical details
The role operates in a remote-first environment, with the autonomy to define how you work while still staying connected to the NZ team. Employment Hero offers ownership of ESOP (Employee Share Options) in a fast-growing technology company, plus a benefits package designed to support your growth and wellbeing. The package also includes parental leave, a subsidy for egg freezing, a home office allowance, and strong learning and development opportunities. There’s also the chance to connect with colleagues worldwide at the Annual Global Gathering, which this year will bring people together across locations in Thailand, Vietnam, Bali, Dubai, Australia and Singapore in September 2027. AI tools and technology are part of the everyday toolkit to help you move faster and amplify your expertise.
