Auckland Council’s Group Shared Services – Customer Experience and Digital Services department has an exciting opportunity for a Business and Process Improvement Lead to join our team.
Reporting to the Enterprise Lead – Business Improvement, you will lead complex improvement initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels to define, design and implement meaningful change that results in better experiences for customers and improved organisational performance. From business analysis and process optimisation through to benefits realisation, you will drive engagement and accountability to ensure improvements deliver measurable and lasting impact.
Working closely with business stakeholders and product owners, you will help prioritise and shape work to ensure delivery is aligned to business value and strategic outcomes.

You are an experienced improvement practitioner with strong business analysis and process design capability. Your ability to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and performance creates alignment and engagement across diverse stakeholder groups, supporting sustainable improvement outcomes. You are confident operating in complex environments and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
You will bring:
• proven experience leading and facilitating improvement initiatives across large functional teams
• strong business analysis expertise, including current and future state process mapping and solution design
• demonstrated experience applying Agile and Lean methodologies
• experience working with both business areas and Technology Services stakeholders, including engagement at executive level
• a track record of achieving outcomes and results through influence
• strong analytical thinking, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
A tertiary qualification in a related field is required. Lean Six Sigma certification (for example, black belt) and industry-recognised Agile certifications are advantageous.
