KiwiRail’s Business Support role is a full‑time, onsite position with the Infrastructure depot in Palmerston North. You’ll be the linchpin for the team, handling calendars, meetings, travel, purchasing and invoicing, onboarding, compliance and reporting, while helping keep priorities on track and risks managed. It’s ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, juggling multiple priorities, and driving continuous improvement with operational and leadership colleagues. Key requirements include excellent organisation, high accuracy, strong communication, comfort with technology (SAP is a bonus but trainable), and a proactive, independent yet collaborative mindset. Supporting the Infrastructure team, you'll play a key role in keeping the team organised, connected, and operating efficiently. You'll provide essential administrative and coordination support across a broad range of activities, helping ensure priorities stay on track and work is delivered safely and effectively.
This is a varied role for someone who enjoys building relationships, juggling multiple priorities, and being the go-to person others can rely on. Working closely with operational and leadership teams, you'll contribute to continuous improvement while supporting the day-to-day activities that keep the business moving forward.
